There has been a marked drop in (useful) traffic on the list - in fact everyone seems
to be leaving - badly!

I also peeved that all mail from the list is addressed to
"[EMAIL PROTECTED]" as this breaks our automatic mail forwarding system.
Why is the intended recipient not used in the TO: field of the message? Most list
servers have a setting to chose between using the list name in the TO: field or the
list member name.

Is this a problem at my end or does everyone see this in the TO: field?

Maybe Sun would have been better advised to actually *ask* the people using the list
what kinds of features and the sort of system they would like to have, rather than
seemingly suddenly imposing a new system.

The old system certainly had its problems: messages would regularly disappear up Sun's
ether, never to be seen on the list, and I often wouldn't receive any messages for a
couple of days, and then would receive a ton at once. The digest was even more erratic!

I hope we can quickly return to the past high quality discussions that I have grown to
respect.

Just my two-pence worth,

Daniel Selman
