I recently had a go-round with this. Copying j3d.dll and j3daudio.dll
from
my jdk1.2.1\jre\bin to the Plug-In's JavaSoft\jre\bin fixed it for me.
Took me a day-and-a-half to find it because Windows Explorer was hiding
the .dll files!
