Hi,

I don't have a Elsa Erazor III and K6-2 CPU, but wanted to tell you the JavaHouse dmo is a pretty bad example for performance testing.
When I first tried it with my Asus TNT2 and PII 400Mhz, it was running so slow I told myself JAVA 3D really sucked and felt very sad. I had bought that TNT2 only for playing with JAVA 3D and felt like I had thrown my money by the window!

Then I opended the VRML scene in 3DsMAX and Counted the polygons : 14 000 polys !!! This is because all the text is modelled instead of being mapped. The guy who designed that scene seems to know very little about realtime 3D modelling or he didn't want to bother...

A regular scene in Realtime 3D sizes around 2 000 polys. With such scenes fully textured, I am achieving fluid framerates in full screen resolution (1152x864). Also remember that using the hotspot virtual machine increases performance after it has compiled on the fly some code.
