Hi
Every one is interested in the general performance of graphic hardware, but shouldn't
we thinking
more about specific Open GL performance (or Direct 3D)?
I mean, TNT is a great choice, but I had tried it (Asus AGP/NT4) and regarding Open GL
it was much
slower than an older Permedia2/PCI, from Hercules. (Obviously it was quite the oposite
in Direct
3D.)
I think Permedia2 has good price/performance ratios in OpenGL (in fact, it was
originally designed
for Open GL). And it seems to be very reliable and has good image quality to.
Moreover, new boards need tuned drivers, which seems to be still missing for many of
them.
          Cheers
