Here's a strange error:
CoralWorld.java:169: Incompatible type for method. Can't convert
com.sun.j3d.utils.universe.ViewingPlatform to javax.media.j3d.ViewPlatform.
view.attachViewPlatform(u.getViewingPlatform()) ;
Seems to me that all this view stuff is lacking some coordination. The
SimpleUniverse(Canvas3D canvas3D) is not documented, there don't seem to be
a selection of universe types available. I've seen many postings about
stereo views, red/green stereo..... and now I'm finding that there's no
simple way to even get frame rates.......
I would think that some classes for each of these options should be
available and documented. With methods for getting information like the
framerate and such easily accessible.
SimpleUniverse()
CrossEyeUniverse()
WallEyeUniverse()
RedGreenUniverse()
What is the feeling, will these types of issues be addressed in future
releases of Java3D? If not, I'm afraid the future of J3D may not be as
bright as I had hoped.
