It's just the IBM JVM/JDK - I'm using v1.1.7 - which used to be called
"Jikes", you can get it at alphaworks.ibm.com. I haven't used any recent
Sun distributions, so maybe they're just as good, but a few months back,
the IBM stuff was quite a bit better. In particular the JVM ran compute-
intensive code noticeably faster than anything else. -Tim
