What is the basic difference between JavaBeans and Enterprise JavaBeans?
JavaBeans are a set of conventions and APIs for creating reusable software components. The primary benefit is for visual development environments, which can use the JavaBeans specifications to manipulate software components and allow the programmer to associate events with actions. Where JavaBeans provide a component architecture for applications, Enterprise JavaBeans provide a component architecture for distributed transactio-oriented applications.
The Enterpise JavaBeans specification defines the interfaces through which enterprise components interoperate and the contracts that allow tools from different vendors to be used to develop applications using the same third-party components.
