This virus drops a file named FILES32.VXD into the Windows system directory.
It then reconfigures the Windows registry so that this file gets executed
every time any other EXE file is run. The virus then appears to try to
distribute itself using a range of networking mechanisms, including IRC and
email.
The icon associated with FILES32.VXD is a picture of a character from the
cartoon series "South Park":
Under French Windows NT and 95/98, the virus spawns a screensaver to mask
its activity.
