Surely if they'd said/planned this from the outset we'd be much farther along, rather than open sourcing the implementation and keeping the language spec. locked in Suns control?
I was just wondering how well JavaFX script could sit on the server side (I have a few small pet project ideas I'm planning to look at on the weekend), animations aside - theres a lot in the language that people have been wanting from Java.next. How will Sun split their priorities between the two languages? Is late 2010 still the estimated time for Java7?
