The samples are very "flashy" with lots of gratuitous "bling". As an in-house business apps developer, what I'd like to see is how jfx could be used to boring business apps better to look at and easier to use (particularly the latter). What about the ubiquitous java store app with a jfx front end? I recently purchased Beyond Compare 3. A most excellent file/folder/ picture comparer. Eclipse has a very pretty text file comparer. How about a simple app that compares (and maybe merges) the contents of two text files and demonstrates how a jfx front end can be clearer/ easier/better/more fun than the existing versions?
