In episode 218 there was a discussion about the addition of dynamic types to C# 4. I was a bit disappointed in how that conversation went. I think most people listen to the Java Posse to hear very knowledgeable developers talk about the technologies they know and love. I know everyone in the Posse has their reasons for not being up to speed on .NET, and I respect that. But I think it degrades the quality of the podcast to read one-line summaries of major platform changes and try to make judgments based solely on these small snippets of information. I’ve seen this in the past when the Posse tried to discuss LINQ and Volta. I would rather the topic were avoided completely than listen to a 5 minute conversation based on miss- information.
