You mean that _some_ enterprise developers will wait. Just in this
thread, Peter said that he's using it in the enterprise and then
there's SAP and EDF to give two examples. James Iry has already
alluded to this, but it's very funny how people use different measures
for Scala than they do for Java. Discussions like this happened when
generics were introduced to Java and still happen today many years
later (check the Eclipse e4 mailing lists for discussions about moving
to Java 5). Following that kind of reasoning, enterprise developers
would not use Java 5 either.

I don't pretend to know if Scala will manage to create a niche in the
enterprise market (I certainly don't expect it to be as popular as
Java has been), but the reasoning used here to say it wion't has not
convinced me.
