Of course. Exaggeration emphasizes the points, that's part of his
provocative style - most interesting people do that (just listen to
Linus talk about Subversion). However I think he hits the nail on a
lot of things and that it explain a little about the mentality of
"hackers", whom there are a great deal of in the Linux community.
