There's been lost of talk about what IBM would remove from Sun upon take over. Sure, there are conflicts in the product line, but would IBM (or anyone for that matter) be stupid enough to throw away of the assets they had just purchased? I think it's more likely they will just run things in parallel. At least until one specific technology has the writing on the wall.
