For those of you not familiar with JUG-USA, I have this blog post that
provides a nice introduction:

http://tr.im/whyjugusa

This is a recent initiative that only started a few months ago.
However, all the blue dots on this map are already JUG-USA Affiliates:

There are still a lot more red (unaffiliated) than blue dots on the
map, but, that is one of the things we will be discussing at the
JUG-USA Summit during JavaOne this year. You don't have to be leading
a JUG to get involved either. Believe me, I can think of any number of
ways for volunteers to get involved on the ground floor of this
effort. We have a meetup group that anyone can join to show their
support for JUG-USA:

And I'm particularly enlisting JUG Leaders from JUGs in the United
States to attend our first ever JUG-USA Summit. You don't have to be
affiliated with JUG-USA to attend the Summit. In fact, this meeting
would be a good opportunity to explore whether it makes sense for your
JUG to affiliate with JUG-USA or not. If you will be at JavaOne this
year, please give serious consideration to joining us for one hour on
Tuesday, June 2nd. I guarantee that you will not regret it. Further
details at this place to RSVP for the Summit online:
