All true, presuming Sun/Oracle uses the JDK process for Java 7; given the Java 7 schedule <http://openjdk.java.net/projects/jdk7/milestones/ > and the lack of any platform JSR proposal at this time, that can reasonably be called into question. Some further data: On August 4 2008, Stephen Colebourne declared the jsr310 implementation complete <http://mail.openjdk.java.net/pipermail/ challenge-discuss/2008-August/000128.html>. On December 16, 2008, Stephen Colebourne declared the development so far behind that, without help, it would not make JDK7 <https:// jsr-310.dev.java.net/servlets/ReadMsg?list=dev&msgNo=1389>. Since that time very little of its development has been provided by anyone else. Jsr310 is definitely not on the current draft feature list <http://openjdk.java.net/projects/jdk7/features/>, and it is widely assumed that it will not make JDK7. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "The Java Posse" group.
