A PS to my earlier message, getting a new feature into the language is not
the only possible benefit of diligently filling in the Coin proposal form.
If increased knowledge and understanding of the language results from that
exercise, that benefit exists regardless of what happens to the actual
proposal.  How one values such detailed Java language knowledge is another
question :-)
