Hi Dianne. I *really* liked the format and the people at Java Posse
Roundup. Conversations by an interesting mix of people, in a friendly,
small, comfortable setting. The Scala Liftoff had great people and was
well-run, but the room was terrible acoustically, and that seriously
detracted from my experience. Google I/O is awesome. It’s nice that
they have lots of money to pay professionals to put together such a
sweet event, including great meals and giant party. JavaOne is
excellent too. Huge enough to attract many top technical
professionals. Quite crowded, but well run. The meetups that Mike Van
Riper, Keven Nilson et al run at Google are excellent because of top
speakers, many good people in the audience, and excellent facilities.
