Technically, eclipse 3.5 works fine on Leopard's JVM1.6. Practically, however, the particular DOWNLOAD of eclipse you need for that to work is almost impossible to find, and only comes in the 'classic' package. Thus, 99.9999% of all eclipse 3.5s out there will not actually run on java 1.6 on leopard.
