So is this pretty much an indication that JavaFX Mobile is dead?
The only news I found was about JavaME on Brew feature phones (http://
www.javaworld.com/community/?q=node/4067). Makes sense that Oracle
holds on to JavaME - they get license fees for that. With Adobe
giving away its runtimes for free (Flash Player, AIR), it won't be
easy for Oracle to charge for their runtime on smartphones. It seems
that Oracle also works to shrink down Java SE to run on smartphones,
but that will need Java 7, so it's a bit off.

Well, the Mobile World Congress still runs for two days, so we may
still hear something about JavaFX Mobile. Like we did last year, when
JavaFX Mobile famously launched - with a single UI component: a text
field. Swing components couldn't be used in JavaFX back then (http://
www.theregister.co.uk/2009/02/17/javafx_mobile_review/page2.html).

Being so close to the finalization of the Sun deal, I'm not sure that Oracle had the time to make any agreement in time for MWC 2010.
