Hi all.

I've got a Motorola Droid a few days ago and started playing with it.
Being at home, I supposed to be able to do everything I needed with my
WiFi, to avoid wasting memory with the mobile connection provider.
Actually, the first piece of software that I installed is APNDroid,
that allows to disable the mobile connection. But when it's active -
and even before installing it, when I did a couple of tests by just
removing the SIM card - I am completely unable to download
applications from the Market, or to install the system update from
Motorola. In both cases, the progress bars that say "downloading" are
just stuck at the beginning, with no signs of activity. I left the
phone for a couple of hours in this state, and no progress. At the
same time, the internet browser perfectly worked, as well as Google
Maps: thus, the WiFi connection was working.

Then I re-enabled the mobile connection, disabled the WiFi, and after
a short while the applications from the market were downloaded. Today
I was also able to get the 2.1 update from Motorola. Now, the question:

1) am I doing something wrong?
2) is my Droid broken?
3) does the market only work through the mobile phone connection?

In the last case, I'd be seriously annoyed.
