Hi Joey,

I wasn't at the roundup but also recently started using DVCS. First tried
GIT with GitHub for a few weeks, disliked it because of the poor Eclipse
integration compared to Subclipse + CollabNet Desktop, so GIT itself might
be a good system but the tooling wasn't good enough in my case.

Now I've been using Mercurial with BitBucket for the last couple of months
and probably don't use all the bells and whistles, but at least I can
continue with the usual workflow (code - team sync - review changes -
commit) while I'm learning along the way. Something that didn't work as
fluently when using GIT, also the fact that the diff tool wasn't integrated
with the Eclipse compare was a major drawback for me.

If interested in Mercurial, this guide is nice introduction, especially when
converting from SVN: http://hginit.com/

Regards,

Jo
