I can't speak about ship dates but I did record some videos of FP 10.1 performance on Android: http://www.jamesward.com/2010/02/21/flex-performance-on-mobile-devices/
Overall performance is pretty impressive. They done a lot of work in the Tamarin VM to optimize how and when JITing happens. -James -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Karsten Silz Sent: Monday, April 19, 2010 3:49 PM To: The Java Posse Subject: [The Java Posse] Flash for Mobile delayed again Hi, All of you who can't wait to see Flash ads on their mobile phones - you have to wait a couple of months longer: http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/news/1601677/flash-android-webos-delayed But seriously, I don't envy Adobe - getting Flash player to perform well on Android, Blackberry and Palm is certainly a challenge. In a way, Adobe should be happy that they're not on the iPhone - one less platform to worry about (if Apple granted their wish for Flash on iPhone, would they even be ready now, three years after they started asking?). ;-) But then they're already trying to make their life easier by launching on Palm (good OS, just two devices, insignificant market share) instead of Symbian (bad OS, a gazillion different devices, global smartphone market share leader). -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "The Java Posse" group.
