Yes, you are probably right. And in a bigger company it is maybe the
best to have all different kinds of people in the team. Some are the
guys who focus on the new stuff and then train the others or help them
solving particular issues. I am a lot of guys in union because for a
lot of projects I am the only developer + project manager + second
level support. - So somehow I have no other choice of focusing on the
building. On the other hand I would not like to be a trainer or so. So
I am quite fine with my role of being "a builder" (as you name it).
