It's a verbose language, with lots of accidental complexity that makes it
easy to shoot yourself in the foot
It's not a high level language and it's not easy to be sure that your code
is correct

and yet the main usage?  Mobile and desktop GUI apps.
Certainly not the characteristics I'd prefer to see in a language used for
this type of application

(though I'd argue that people are really using the cocoa framework for
those, and are then tied unavoidably to objective-C by way of
historical precedent, and more recently by contractual obligation)


This is crowd-sourced evaluation, I'm just the messenger :)
