It's a verbose language, with lots of accidental complexity that makes it easy to shoot yourself in the foot It's not a high level language and it's not easy to be sure that your code is correct and yet the main usage? Mobile and desktop GUI apps. Certainly not the characteristics I'd prefer to see in a language used for this type of application (though I'd argue that people are really using the cocoa framework for those, and are then tied unavoidably to objective-C by way of historical precedent, and more recently by contractual obligation) This is crowd-sourced evaluation, I'm just the messenger :) On 19 May 2010 15:04, CKoerner <[email protected]> wrote: > Oh no, Objective-C, people learning it instead of complaining they > can't write Flash apps and compile down to it, tell me it isn't so! > > > lol :) > > -- > You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups > "The Java Posse" group. > To post to this group, send email to [email protected]. > To unsubscribe from this group, send email to > [email protected]<javaposse%[email protected]> > . > For more options, visit this group at > http://groups.google.com/group/javaposse?hl=en. > > -- Kevin Wright mail/google talk: [email protected] wave: [email protected] skype: kev.lee.wright twitter: @thecoda -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "The Java Posse" group.
