One of the nest ways to support an online version is Ajax , especially the YUI, Dojo ,etc..So you might want to look at that.. Second, you might want to take in some third party APIs for getting the skins that you are looking for.Have you explored google code and sourceforge? 2) If you want to create your own system, then put in place the backend with a table that stores the values, next just add the user records for them and lastly just check them at run time using MVC architecture.. Are you using Swings components. I suggest you look at web based options , as these are theme of the present days systems and no one likes a stand alone system.. Just curious, why are you not using a PMS like MS -Project or some open-source options. Even for managing other projects, there are options available. Hope this helps.
