It'll have it's niche, but it is no java replacement... I tried to
like Scala but it feels like Perl to me...

Um no, it will definitely not be a dynamically typed language... it
will be one that tries to bring the best of dynamically typed
languages into a statically typed language... and they will have
learned a lot from scala.

I bet that within two years, the Mirah community will be much larger
than the Scala community and Groovy++ will have about the same
mindshare as scala...
