*delete as appropriate I once considered [weight lifting at the gym/learning functional programming]* but, as I'm a [fairly skinny guy/pure OO programmer]* I decided that I didn't have any [muscles to build up in the first place/need for pure functions]* and so it wasn't suitable for me In fact, I've come to the conclusion that [FP/the gym]* is of limited use, and really wouldn't benefit everyone And it really is so very difficult, especially for some of my less-capable colleagues!
