Lets fix that list a bit shall we? It's clearly tailored to make things look harder, lets try again:
easy: control flow: loops, iterators, if/else collections: lists, sets, maps basic algebra: expressions, tuples, functions, pattern matching, case classes basic OO: singletons, traits, fields, overloading hard: higher order logic: closures, by-name parameters, currying Any distinction between operators/methods/functions/first-class functions is purely abritrary, and is just an artefact of the way Java restricts things. So e.g overloading and operator overloading are exactly the same concept and don't need to be listed twice. That fact that you *have* listed some concepts twice like this shows that you really haven't understood Scala well enough to be able to fairly judge it. 2010/8/30 Cédric Beust ♔ <[email protected]> > > > On Sun, Aug 29, 2010 at 7:18 PM, Josh Berry <[email protected]> wrote: > >> >> This doesn't change the fact that Kojo doesn't teach you Scala. >>> >> >> I'm baffled by this.
