Not so odd...

First, steam the broccoli until *almost* cooked.
Then, take a nice bit of smoked streaky bacon, diced and cooked over a
medium heat to release the fat.
Fry in a large shallot in with the bacon and a little olive oil until it
just starts to caramelise
(see how I got caramel in there?)
Add a knob of butter, 1/4 cup of white wine, and the broccoli.
Cook for a few more minutes, then serve


Delicious, broccoli AND caramel!
