To expand on my point some.  What isn't good for the adoption of Scala is
when good Java programmers spurn it.  Which seems to happen on this site
quite a lot.  The stated goal seems more "lets get some good talent doing
good things with Scala, and others will follow."

You seem to want to twist this to be "there is no point in getting average
programmers to even try, as they aren't good enough."  This is laughable, as
the people with the most pessimistic view of programmer ability seem to be
the stalwart Java developers more so than any other.
