I don't think so. Internal or external business based applications that need to take into consideration the workflows and special requirements that nearly all companies have, no. I think they can be used for your typical intranet and maybe some simplistic apps. But frankly for I'm not feel at ease building a high availability business critical application ontop of say, Wordpress.
