Thank you Liam. Up until this point I had been worrying that I was seeing demons where there were none, and coming across as being something of a zealot.
You have now single-handedly reinforced my concerns that Scala is being unfairly attacked in purely subjective fashion. Through attacks that lack a sound logical basis, citations, or even a passing familiarity with the language. Still, I'm going to continue to try and avoid coming across as a zealot in the future, largely by being wary of those few individuals who seem bent on goading me into such a role. Finally... I hereby invoke Godwin's law to the fullest extent possible. Under the terms of this illustrious legislation, it shall henceforth be known to one and all that Scala objectors are guilty of "reductio ad Hitlerum".
