The Applications entry in the dock is quite similar to the pre-Vista
start menu.  The Vista and 7 start menu is a hybrid between the old
style and Spotlight (and the search doesn't work for me on a Windows 7
install).

Windows 3.1's main UI looked remarkably similar to Amiga's Workbench.
I imagine Workbench was copied from elsewhere, but I don't have any
experience with older interfaces than that (the Spectrum 48K and
Commodore 64 didn't really have GUIs).

I wish Windows would copy workspaces/virtual desktops from the other
OSs.  I know MS have an extension for that but it doesn't work very
well.
