There is just so much in error here, it is difficult to know where to
begin and how to avoid writing a 5000 word essay.

Let me just say "you can fool most of the people, most of the time".

IDEs are not a "silver bullet" despite what the majority of programmers
have been brainwashed into believing.  IDEs and text editors are just
tools, professionalism is learning to use the right tool for the right
job in the context of the job in hand and the person undertaking the
job.

The real problem is that most text editors and most IDEs are massively
over-bloated with features no-one is ever going to use, and which often
mask all the really important features that people would find very
helpful if they did use them.
