Martin still remains uncertain the XML literals were a good call, I believe
he's also concerned about the way higher-kinded types are being blogged
about in a manner that justifies allegations of complexity.

Interestingly, he *doesn't* regret the high proportion of Scala quirks that
are entirely due to backwards compatibility, mostly because there are bigger
fish to fry...
