I've stayed in a hotel and shared a house. Both cost about the same
(about $100/night), but the house share is more fun.

Once you're registered and paid, you will be added to the Roundup
group, where many discussions of house share occur. With Google
changes in the process, it seems we might be moving from "groups" to
"sites" and Joe Sondow has started working on that.

If you're wary of driving in the snow, you will want to fly into
Gunnison rather than drive from Denver. Some people ride share from
Denver, but most folks tend to fly in. There was a snowstorm last
year that delayed the drivers. It's a 4.5 hr drive in good weather,
and a pretty scary drive in bad weather.

I'm planning to arrive either Sunday or really early Monday (first
flight in), depending on some family stuff. I'll fly out on Saturday
(late) or Sunday (early). Some people fly out on Friday, but that
misses part of the last day. And last year, I think we did our fancy
restaurant trip on Friday night, which was very fun. Over the past
several years, several of us have met on Saturday morning for some
cross-country skiing and/or breakfast.

Hope that helps!
Dianne
