Hi Java Posse listeners,

As the posse are quite enthousiastic about MongoDB, I though this question
could interest you. I heard some bad feedback about deploying MongoDB on
Amazone EC2 (mostly from Manik's - JBoss's Infinite Span leader during a
talk at Brussels where he referred, I believe, to this bizarre issue with
EBS<http://nosql.mypopescu.com/post/1409195826/mongodb-on-amazon-ec2-with-ebs-volumes>),
so I'm look for more feedback from this list. Do you use MongoDB on Amazon
EC2 ? If so, did you have any trouble setting up a reliable instance or even
sharding on EC2 ?

Also, did you investigate MongoDB hosters such as MongoHQ or Mongo Machine
?
