We may think that Java ME has gone, but Blackberry do not and there are a large number of new projects being started within companies that have Blackberry as a standard. I know this as I have a number of companies taking my Java ME course -- which is nice. > Besides, "Android Java as the standard for Java ME" makes no sense to > me. Trying to merge Java ME and Android is a hack to get round some issues, it is not a strategicially viable plan. > Let it die, let's focus on the new generation of mobile OS and forget > that Java ME ever existed. I'd be sad to see it die as I get people wanting courses. On the other hand it should go. But we should remember it, it is a lesson in how to create instant legacy systems.
