It seems that nobody posted this, even though the news is two days old. Google asked to the US Patent Office to "revise" the status of the Oracle patents that are involved in the lawsuit.

If you're optimistic, the thing might lead to a "reality check" in the world of patents. If you're pessimistic, you read that this is a matter of many months, possibly years. Ugh!
