As media content goes I think Android is pretty good. In the US anyway you have Kindle and Barnes and Noble apps available. For Music you have Amazon which I actually like and RDIO which I really like. The place where my Android phone falls down a bit is in Video. You just don't the Itunes stores selection of TV shows, movies, and so on. The other place is pod casts. I could never get Listen to do what I wanted it to do which is to download the podcasts at night while I sleep. Streaming is frustrating and eats too much battery life. I prefer to have my podcasts download while my phone is plugged in and I am asleep. BTW that is also something that the iPod Touch didn't do for me. I got Beyond pod which does what I like but isn't perfect. Video podcasts are at best challenge with Beyond.
