I could guess it might mean that he could be working on the Dalvik VM.
That would be like a step back in time going back to when he was
involved with the JVM.

I would expect Oracle to be pretty annoyed if the individual
associated with the creation of Java goes over to work on Dalvik
especially given the legal case looming. Still that may not be what he
works on but given his core expertise I don't see that as such wild
speculation.

Given that I don't care for Oracle more than I am forced to, it seems
to be more points for Google and less for Oracle in terms of love and
support from outside.
