I've not seen any use of other JVM languages at any of the companies I've worked at. That said I know others who have used Ruby on Rails in their day job (at Sky, I think) but I don't know to what degree it has displaced Java.
I spent several years working for EDS (HP) and unless it was a stipulation to use an alternative language I could not envisage any of the parts of the business I worked in chancing their arm in that way (but maybe things have changed in the last 3 years). -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "The Java Posse" group.
