If you're using a single character to do this than most likely you need to reconsider your naming convention. Hungarian notation was first described by Charles Simonyi, a very nice guy, ran MS's office group and has had two trips to the international space station as a tourist. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Simonyi. As much as I respect the man, I still say that said, Hungarian notation is wrong. The bastardization that came from his first description is also wrong.
