Yeah they are getting a lot of heat. Not sure I understand why,
whether it's due to genuine bugs, missing features or just a general
resistance against something new. Personally I haven't seen any
trouble while upgrading 4 PC's, and have to admit to loving Unity.

It is however running on the dated x86 architecture. Only Intel's
massive investments in production facilities and processes, makes them
ahead in the game. I fully expect a company like Apple, to move over
to ARM whenever its feasible, and simply order their silicon from
whichever manufacturer giving the best price. It's a window of
opportunity that the mobile revolution will givee birth to, and it
probably does not please Intel particular to see i.e. Windows 8 being
targeted ARM. Interesting times ahead!
