On the topic of the Google Plus invite UI issues... I can't comment on what the invite looks like since I haven't received an invite. But while when I go to the plus.google.com on my laptop to see what its about I get a nice page with the summaries of the features and a button to "keep me posted", the mobile version I get on my Android phone (which is quickly becoming my primary computer) is quite different. There I just get a "You need an invitation" page with a Close and a Learn More button. The Close button doesn't seem to do anything but take me to a log in page (and the log in takes me back to the useless "You need an invitation" page), and the "Learn More" just says that even if someone is sharing an invite with me, I still can't sign up. If I click through enough links I can eventually get to a description of the service, but there are definitely some UI issues there from the mobile side of things (hopefully just surrounding temporary features during the rollout, unlike Gmail that ran with the Eric Cartman "You can't come" technique for a relatively long time). Now I just need an invite (and if any of you had a plethora of invites available that you were trying to unsuccessfully send to Dick or Joe...).
