I don't think I've ever bought a computer bag - they seem to grow on trees. Everywhere I go, someone's giving me one. Sometimes they're con-schwag and they've got branding all over them, sometimes they're just extra ones lying around. I keep trying to give them away, but more of them turn up.
I don't know why I got this particular juju, and I think I'd like to exchange it for a different one, but I don't think I'll ever be short of computer bags. For what it's worth, I've found myself most partial to the small Dell shoulder bag that just holds the laptop and a paperback and not a lot else. It keeps me from loading myself up with stuff I really don't need, but might need, but really actually won't. The backpacks seem to turn into shoulder bags anyway, even though it's ergonomically disastrous. What I really want, and I'm sure I can find it if I do something simple like look for it, is a laptop bag/briefcase that secures to my bike as well as my actual bike bags. Or, the other way around, a pannier-type bag that'll do good service as a briefcase/laptop bag. That would be so awesome I'd even probably pay for it.
