I know Windows and OS X make up 90+% (ish) of all workstation and laptop

developers who are using JavaFX, not the end users. Thus it is the
spread of OS use by developers that matters and I bet Linux represents a
significant market share in that audience.
For what concerns developers, Mac OS X comes as the very last one, with a
much smaller share than Linux (reliable source, but not disclosable);
don't be fooled by Apple people at conferences. So I suppose Oracle gave
priority to deployment.
