I remember when he and I used to agree. Mine's the third name on the First 
Class Methods proposal for instance.

The language Stephen is promoting seems to have painful interoperability with 
Java, and a lot of his concerns about Scala are things that would make interop 
more difficult.

I don't know why you'd want each JVM language to have its own incompatible 
module system. On the JVM that needs thinking about for the platform as a whole.
