Daily commute one hour each way. I listen to so many podcasts that I consider essential, I rarely get through them in a week. Not only that, I'm finding that my addiction is at the expense of reading some techy books or trying stuff out on a laptop. I get very little time at home with 2 young kids.
Here's a list of my podcasts: BBC (I'm a licence fee payer so I think I'm entitled unlike you foreigners!) Daily Bacon Desert Island Discs (will skip people I don't know) Dr Karl and the Naked Scientist Food Programme Four Thought Friday Night Comedy Front Row Daily In Our Time The Infinite Monkey Cage Mark Kermode and Simon Mayo Film Reviews Medical Matters Money Box The Report Science Weekly Other FT Money Show HansleMinutes Java Posse Money Talk from Fool.co.uk NPR:Planet Money PC Pro podcast (excellent, up to date, weekly) Tech Weekly (Guardian) This American Life Believe me, I would like to cut back and I do skip episodes that don't interest me (or are really bad quality like some round up talks) but it still takes a large chunk of time!! Yes I know, why am I complaining about their being TOO MANY excellent podcasts!
